The atmosphere at Pathways is relaxed and friendly while still remaining conducive to learning. As an older student, I was apprehensive as to my own abilities at being able to learn something new.

The basics that I had were enhanced by the courses that you provided. I feel more confident now that I will be able to adapt to my new position with my employer. (I'm not sure how they will be able to adapt to me.)

I completed grade 8 over 20 years ago. Up until I injured myself at work, I had always been employed in full-time, physically demanding jobs. As I was no longer able to do the type of work I had been doing, I was sent to Pathways for academic upgrading. My goal was to pass the GED and other related courses so that I could pursue further training in Quality Control. Twelve months later I passed the GED in the top 10 percentile. The atmosphere at Pathways was supportive and conducive to adult learning. My teacher was exceptional and I am grateful for the time that she spent with me. In an environment of excellence my goals were achieved and now I am employed in my chosen field.

Although I graduated from grade 12, it was long ago. When I injured myself at work, I was no longer able to do physical labour. My confidence was at low ebb, but through Pathways I was able to accomplish my academic goals and pursue my chosen career path. The learning atmosphere was relaxed, which allowed those of us with injuries to achieve our goals. I would highly recommend Pathways. The teachers are very accommodating and professional, allowing us to surpass our academic needs.

The director, Jennifer Wilkins, and all the teachers are very professional and the facility is lovely. I enjoy the enthusiasm of the teachers. Going back to school was a very challenging experience because I was out of school for more than 25 years. The excellent, welcoming and friendly team at Pathways, especially Debbie Bitonti, my instructor, helped to make the transition for me a smooth one. The Management and Staff treat everyone with respect and equality and show great concern for each student on an individual basis. They work very hard to meet individual student’s needs and make you feel welcome and at home when in school. I am indeed very happy to say that the tremendous support I received at Pathways and the confidence I developed enabled me to work towards my future goal.
