Career Development Programs
Introduction to Computers (8-16 Weeks):
This program includes an introduction to Word, Excel, Email, and the Internet. If students indicate a readiness to pursue other Microsoft Office Programs, they will be accommodated.
Employment Literacy:
Let us teach essential skills required for a specific employment area.
Resume Development:
We provide a professional resume writing service. (1:1 or groups)
Job Search Skills Training (2-4 Weeks):
The course includes resume development, cover letters, calling cards, interview skills, job search strategies and a mock interview.
12 Week Work Experience:
The goal of this program is to provide students with placements in practical settings that will allow them to exercise the acquired and learned skills relevant to their employment goal.
26 Week Supported Employment:
This course includes a combination of work hardening, work placement, job search training, resume development, computer and/or customer service. The breakdown is tailored to the
students’ employment goals.
Vocational Evaluations:
This is an all encompassing assessment that measures factors in the areas of verbal, sensory, motor, integration, and vocational interests. (1:1)
Transferable Skills Analysis:
During a career transition, this tool helps to outline which occupations have similar skills to occupations held in the past. (1:1)
Career/Life Role Analysis,
Finding the Balance:
This assessment tool looks at an individual’s life experience to assist in the development of relevant career/life goals. (1:1)
